Owned for many years by Arnie K1NFE in his extensive Collins collection.
I purchased the receiver from Arnie almost 20 years ago. It has seen very little use since then.
In the time I've owned it I've replaced the chassis mounted electrolytic multistage capacitor with a perfect fit and function unit from CE Electronics. I did find one tube socket pin in the audio section that never got soldered at the factory! Soldering the pin fixed a very intermittant scratchy audio problem. Collins QC is second to none but apparently not infallible. Since the receiver is a high serial number unit it has the factory change that protects the mechanical filters from high voltage dc.
The receiver is in very good to excellent condition. Check out the pictures below. Chassis is clean with no rust or corrosion. All functions work as expected. There are no other repairs / modifications that I'm aware of. Comes equipped with Collins 2.1 kHz, 3.1 kHz mechanical filters and a Dave Curry 6 kHz AM filter. I also have a Collins 500 Hz CW mechanical filter that could be made available.
Price with the 2.1, 3.1 and 6 KHz filters is $1200. Pick up in central CT preferred. Shipping at actual cost also available. I'm an experienced heavy/bulky item shipper.
