History:
Original owner Alfred 'Bert' Nelson W1AYR ... founder of Superior Electric in Bristol CT - the famous company that produced Powerstats etc.
Bert donated it to the Bristol CT Radio Club where it spent time at the rather remote 'club house' ... until the club house was vandalized a couple of times. Howard W1CL then disassembled and stored it for many years.
I obtained it from Howard as he was getting on in years thinking that I might have a go at getting it running. My interests have changed and I'm looking to pass it on to someone interested in restoring it.
Storage has been dry at both Howard's and my location. It's a bit more dirty than the pictures show. The bottom of the rack has some white discoloration and minor surface rust from the club house. The front rf deck panel has an extra hole in it ... put there by the original owner I'm told. Other than that it looks to be in okay condition and essentially complete as far as I can tell. I'm not intimately familiar with the KW-1 so I'll have to let the following 20 pictures tell the story.
